MediGuess for nursing students

A daily medical word game that covers the terms your course actually uses.

From the first week of placement, nursing students are expected to understand the words on the ward: the conditions on the handover sheet, the observations, the abbreviations and the drugs. MediGuess gives you one of those words a day, explains it in plain English with a clinical example, and checks it with three quick questions. Case-study questions on harder levels ask you to read the signs and pick the diagnosis, which is exactly the thinking you do on shift.

Pick your university when you sign up and every point you score counts towards its place on the monthly leaderboard. Create a private league for your cohort, or challenge a friend to a 1v1.

Topics that matter for nursing

  • Clinical Diagnosis: Conditions, signs and findings you will meet on placement, with what each one means in practice.
  • Physiology: How the body works: the processes behind breathing, circulation, nerve signals and metabolism.
  • Medical Terminology: The building blocks of medical language: prefixes, suffixes and the everyday terms used on the ward.
  • Pathology: Disease processes, from inflammation and necrosis to tumours and how they spread.
