Using MediGuess

• You must be 13 or over to create an account. MediGuess is designed for students aged 16 and over.
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Don't cheat, use bots or scripts, tamper with scores, harass other players, use offensive usernames, or try to access other people's data. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.

Educational content

MediGuess is a revision tool. We check our questions and definitions carefully, but they may contain mistakes and are not medical advice. Always follow your course materials, clinical guidelines and supervisors. If you spot an error, tell us at mediguess1@gmail.com.

Premium

• Premium is a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each period (1, 3 or 12 months) at the price shown when you buy. Prices are currently £3.99 a month, £9.99 for 3 months and £19.99 for 12 months.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• Website subscriptions are paid through Stripe. You can cancel at any time in the app under Settings > Manage subscription; Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• iPhone subscriptions are managed by Apple. Cancel in your iPhone's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Refunds for iPhone purchases are handled by Apple.

Your 14-day right to cancel (website purchases)

UK law gives you 14 days to cancel a purchase made on our website. Because Premium starts straight away, at checkout we ask you to agree to that and to acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once Premium has started. If you haven't used any Premium features, email us within 14 days and we'll give you a full refund. This doesn't affect your other legal rights, for example if something you paid for doesn't work.

Hints and other purchases

Hint packs are used once and can't be refunded once used, except where the law requires.

Free Premium from partners

Free Premium given through a student society, lecturer, ambassador scheme or achievement lasts for the period stated and doesn't renew or turn into a paid plan.

Prizes

Ambassador and league prizes follow the rules published for each scheme at the time. We may withhold a prize if we believe it was won by cheating.

Our content

The MediGuess name, app, questions, definitions and designs belong to MediGuess. You're welcome to use them for your own study, but please don't copy, republish or sell them without our permission.

Our responsibility to you

We aim to keep MediGuess running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We're responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, but not for losses that aren't foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law says it can't be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings. Deleting it cancels any website subscription; iPhone subscriptions must be cancelled with Apple.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will tell you in the app about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring claims in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. Read how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy Terms of Use.
